The Santiago Canyon College women's soccer team continued its dominant run with an emphatic 8–0 victory over Santa Ana College on Tuesday afternoon. The win extended the Hawks' unbeaten streak to four matches and marked their third consecutive shutout victory.
Entering the match on the heels of back-to-back wins against Irvine Valley (2–0) and Fullerton (4–0), SCC showed no signs of slowing down. The Hawks netted eight goals in total—five coming in a high-powered second half—to secure another convincing result.
Over their last three contests, the Hawks have outscored opponents 14–0, and they have now gone four straight matches without conceding a goal.
SCC's offensive performance was a true team effort, with six different players finding the back of the net. Sophomore Ayleen Jimenez led the charge with two goals, striking in the 11th and 62nd minutes. The brace marked Jimenez's first multi-goal performance of the season and extended her scoring streak to three straight matches, totaling four goals over that span.
Sophomore Mia Lussier also recorded a brace, scoring in the 55th and 78th minutes. Freshman Christina Cosenza and sophomore Clarissa Huerta each tallied assists on Lussier's goals. Lussier added to her strong performance with an assist in the first half, setting up sophomore Rayleen Chairez for a goal in the 29th minute.
Freshman Alyze Bernabe scored her first career goal in the 38th minute, assisted by freshman Lauren Wood, who also assisted on Jimenez's second tally. Freshman Lexi Kotlar opened the second-half scoring with a goal in the 49th minute, while Cosenza capped off the offensive showcase with a strike in the 68th.
In goal, freshman Ayden Keysers enjoyed a quiet evening, needing to make just one save to secure the clean sheet.
